Groups of motivated people can solve any problem, even how to mitigate wildfires in California. The “design-a-thon,” titled Mindshifts on Megafires, invites UC San Diego students from all disciplines and experience levels into an “innovation funnel” which applies the Design Thinking process to generate potential solutions to end destructive wildfires.

Using an Innovation Funnel, we facilitated a conversation about the customers we were trying to entice with an irresistible offer. It turns out that there are ten different types of customers, and that each one is motivated by different things. The entire organizations shared what they knew about each customer to create personas.

CHIP partnered with The Idea Guy to create the CHIP Innovation Center, and online resource “committed to engagement, innovation and execution within our communities.” In partnership with The Idea Guy®, CHIP Innovation Center provides process, programs and support that help us all improve our creativity and innovation.
